About BFCF

The Bayonne Feral Cat Foundation (BFCF) is an organization based solely on raising awareness and maintaining the welfare of the feral cat colonies located throughout Bayonne.

We sponsor a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, and instruct registered participants in proper colony care. We provide free or low-cost spay/neuter/vaccination, ear tip, and micro-chipping through the use of vouchers to Bayonne residents who are caring for feral cats located in Bayonne.

Some might ask, "Why would you want to microchip a cat that is going to be returned to the outside?"  Most people who feed outside cats, care very deeply about them.  If a cat were to suddenly disappear, we could activate the lost pet hotline, and notices would go out to other caring cat lovers in an effort to find the missing cat.  Furthermore, should the found cat need medical attention, the medical expense is covered through the insurance policy that BFCF provides.  To qualify for these services, you must register your colony with us (location of colonies will not be shared in order to protect the cats and their caregivers), and abide by the terms of the Caregiver Agreement.

We also provide trapping equipment and instructions on how to use it.  We teach proper colony care, and will assist the caregiver with adoption resources.

OTHER SERVICES
Food and emergency medical care for the cats is provided on a case by case basis to the extent that resources will allow.
